LHU shares expertise on Student Outcomes Measurement and AI Application in Education

 [Dong Thap] On March 10, 2025 – Dong Thap University (DTHU) hosted a training session titled "Learning Outcome Measurement and Application of AI in Teaching," led and presented by Lac Hong University (LHU). The event garnered significant attention and participation from over 150 faculty members. At the seminar, Dr. Le Phuong Truong, Head of the Office of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of Lac Hong University, delivered insightful presentations on quality assurance practices and digital transformation in education.

Student Outcomes (SO) Measurement adhering to international quality standards

The seminar commenced with Lac Hong University (LHU) providing a detailed overview of student outcomes (SOs) measurement aligned with international quality standards. A key highlight was the proprietary software developed by LHU, a robust tool designed to support learning outcomes assessment. This measurement system not only ensures scientific rigor and transparency in the assessment process but also empowers faculties and departments to enhance the quality of their training programs based on published learning outcomes.

Leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Teaching and Learning Activities

Continuing the program, the seminar delved into the theme of "Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Teaching and Learning." The presentations focused on harnessing AI to support a diverse range of pedagogical activities, including: crafting visually engaging lecture slides; generating vivid simulation images and videos; designing interactive teaching activities; reviewing and refining detailed course outlines; developing question banks for examination and assessment; and providing personalized feedback to learners through AI virtual assistants. These applications aim for a dual objective: optimizing the efficiency of the faculty and elevating the quality of the student learning experience in the digital education era.

These initiatives underscore LHU's contribution to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) – Quality Education. Lac Hong University is actively advancing the improvement of its LOA measurement software to ensure and enhance the quality of its training programs, providing students with a high-quality learning environment that meets societal needs. Simultaneously, LHU demonstrates its commitment to community service by pioneering the application of technology and AI training. The university aims for 100% of its faculty and staff to be proficient in applying AI to their work by 2030, adapting seamlessly to a comprehensive digital transformation in education.
