To enhance practical experience and narrow the gap between theory and real-world application in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, on the morning of December 3, 2025, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Lac Hong University, organized a field trip and course-based practical session at the SP-PSA International Container Terminal for 42 students of class 25LG115. This activity, part of the course Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management, aims to reinforce students’ foundational knowledge, broaden their professional perspective, and facilitate exposure to an authentic logistics working environment. The delegation was led by Dr. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Head of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program, together with Ms. Le Thuy Dung from the Internship & Corporate Relations Office.

At SP-PSA, students were welcomed by the port representatives and introduced to the operational model of an international container terminal, including cargo-handling equipment systems, vessel and yard planning processes, operational monitoring, security management, and container control procedures. Students also had the opportunity to directly observe key stages in container operations as well as the advanced technologies currently applied at the port.

Beyond the site tour, an engaging discussion session took place in which students raised questions regarding professional competency requirements, recruitment criteria, and essential skills needed in the logistics sector. Representatives of the enterprise shared practical insights, enabling students to better understand the critical role of seaport logistics in global supply chains.

At the conclusion of the program, representatives of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting presented souvenirs and extended sincere appreciation to SP-PSA for its support and for facilitating a productive and meaningful practical learning session. The collaboration between the university and the enterprise reflects the Faculty’s commitment to practice-oriented education, professional skill development, and expanding career opportunities for students.
The field trip provided significant practical value, contributing to the enhancement of students’ observational capacity, analytical thinking, and industry-specific knowledge. This activity is also one of the Faculty’s annual initiatives, reaffirming its dedication to high-quality training and its partnership with industry in developing a skilled and professionally competent workforce.
