LHU empowers students with communication skills through "Voice Training"

On the evening of May 8, 2025, a special training session titled “The art of voice empowerment” took place, featuring the distinguished MC and Editor Nguyen Quoc Tuan from the Voice of Ho Chi Minh City's People (VOH) as the keynote speaker. His presence brought invaluable expertise and energy to the event, making it a truly memorable experience for all attendees.

The event was co-organized by the Department of Public Relations under the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and the Center for Admissions and Public Relations, as part of the LHU Career Fair 2025 - a comprehensive, career-oriented event series designed for students.

With over 10 years of experience in hosting and broadcasting, MC – Editor Nguyen Quoc Tuan provided practical, engaging insights into breath control, intonation, vocal development, and voice expression. The training not only helped students enhance their communication skills but also laid a strong foundation for building confidence and professionalism in both academic and career pursuits.

Notably, as part of the event, the Organizing Committee officially launched the "LHU MIC POWER 2025" competition - a creative platform for students passionate about hosting and professional public speaking. This is a valuable opportunity for students to showcase their stage presence, communication skills, and personal style to the public.

The training course will last from May 8 to 10, 2025, gathering experienced experts and lecturers in communication, soft skills, and vocal arts. During the three days, students will engage in in-depth practice of techniques: Mastering breath and volume control; Handling intonation and vocal expression; Applying body language; and Impressive presentation and public speaking skills.

“The art of voice” is not just a skill - it is a tool for expressing personal identity and enhancing career competencies. This program marks the beginning of LHU students’ journey to conquer the microphone, especially for those pursuing careers in communication, journalism, education, and other fields requiring advanced communication skills.
