Finance and Accounting

* History and Development

The Faculty of Finance and Accounting, formerly the Faculty of Economics.

On September 17, 2005, the Faculty of Finance - Accounting was established according to Decision No. 298/QD-DHLH signed by the Rector, by separating Accounting and Finance - Banking from the Faculty of Economics.

Due to the increasing number of students of Accounting and Finance - Banking majors, on September 17, 2010, the Rector issued Decision No. 298/QD-DHLH to establish two faculties: Faculty of Accounting – Auditing and Faculty of Finance – Banking.

The Faculty of Finance and Accounting was established according to the Decision No. 714/QD-DHLH on July 1, 2014 issued by the Rector, by merging the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing and Faculty of Finance - Banking.

* Mission

The Faculty of Finance - Accounting is a unit of LHU specializing in providing training programs, scientific research and technology transfer services in the fields of financial accounting, management accounting and auditing (Accounting major); banking, corporate finance, financial policy analysis (Finance – Banking major). The Faculty aims to provide high-quality human resources in finance and accounting, cultivate talented and qualified people to serve the process of industrialization and modernization of the country in the period of international integration.

* Vision

The Faculty of Finance - Accounting aims to become a leading unit in training and applied scientific research in finance and accounting at graduate and postgraduate levels in Vietnam by 2030.

* Educational objectives

Within 2-3 years after graduation, our graduates will:

1. Professionally organize and perform tasks in accounting and finance.

2. Evaluate the effectiveness of financial solutions.

3. Enhance teamwork skills and ability to connect with other professional sectors.

4. Well develop their competences in updating new knowledge for their lifelong learning.
