LHU Affirms Its Position in Dong Nai Province's Science and Technology Development Strategy for 2026–2030

On March 31, 2026, representatives from Lac Hong University (LHU) attended a conference at the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology focused on implementing and commissioning Science and Technology (S&T) tasks for the 2026–2030 period. During the event, the University as a whole, and the Faculty of Information Technology in particular, demonstrated their pivotal role in proposing and executing key technological solutions for the province.

Concentrating Resources on Key Science and Technology Tasks

The conference gathered a large number of experts and scientists from prestigious institutes, universities, and enterprises to define the S&T development roadmap for Dong Nai Province over the next five years.

The delegation representing Lac Hong University included:

  • - Dr. Nguyen Van Tan – Vice Rector of the University.
  • - Dr. Le Phuong Long – Deputy Director of the Center for Scientific Research and Applications.
  • - MSc. Nguyen Minh Son – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology.
  • - Accompanied by faculty members serving as lead researchers for prominent scientific tasks in 2026.

The Faculty of IT and Its Impact on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Initiatives

Out of 182 S&T tasks proposed at the conference, Lac Hong University was honored to be entrusted with two key projects essential to the digital transformation context:

  • - Development of Public Service Support Robots: Utilizing autonomous technology and intelligent interaction to optimize service processes for citizens.
  • - Building Virtual Assistants for Civil Servants: A big-data-driven solution to support efficient document lookups and workflow management.

These projects represent the core strengths of the Faculty of Information Technology. Direct participation in these initiatives not only affirms the research capacity of the faculty members but also opens practical opportunities for students to engage in provincial-level projects.

Proposals for Expanded Multi-Disciplinary Research (2026–2030)

In addition to the assigned tasks, LHU proactively proposed four new highly applicable initiatives across several vital sectors:

  • - Information Technology: Specialized research in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • - Energy: Solutions for optimizing sustainable energy sources.
  • - Medicine, Pharmacy & Agriculture: Application of high-tech solutions in production and healthcare.

Speaking at the conference, University leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the "Government – Scientist – Enterprise" development model. LHU pledges to keep applied research and technology transfer at the forefront, ensuring that every scientific project addresses practical challenges, thereby contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of Dong Nai Province in this new era.
