On May 10, the 13th Korean Speech Contest (K-Speech), an annual event co-organized by the Korean Speech Contest Association of Vietnam, the Korean Cultural Association in Vietnam, and Life Plaza Magazine, was hosted by Thu Duc College of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City. This year’s Contest attracted nearly 130 contestants from 25 universities, colleges, middle and high schools in southern Vietnam, as well as from Korean language training institutions, including LHU.
The K-Speech Contest is a prestigious international academic platform that provides an opportunity for students to showcase their language skills and cultural understanding through both individual and team debate formats. It also serves as a forum for sharing experiences, fostering friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea.
At the 13th K-Speech Contest, Korean Studies students from LHU competed in both categories: individual debate (Duong Huynh Bao Tran) and group debate (Bui Ngoc Tuong Vy and her team).
Demonstrating extensive knowledge and strong confidence, LHU students achieved remarkable results:
First Prize – Group Speech Category
Third Prize – Individual Speech Category: Duong Huynh Bao Tran
These impressive achievements reflect the University’s educational quality, the dedication of its faculty, and the relentless efforts of its students. The awards, recognition, and experiences gained from the Contest will empower students to pursue their passions with confidence, support their career development, and serve as a stepping stone to future success.
